Auction Lot # 41
Estimated Value: $300-$375

We proudly offer this gorgeous 12 inch antique Bohemian hand top blown iridescent Art Nouveau Hyacinth vase treasure from the fabled firm of Joseph Rindskopf ca. 1895 to 1905. The glass formula is called Pepita, most widely produced from 1900 to 1905, and Rindskopf is best known on the American market for its Pepita line with light green iridescent glass bases shading to a wine red hue at the top. Our example is RARE, with a concentric dimpled and pulled form sporting incredible iridescence, and belaying the normal colors, toping in a fantastic rich purple / Amethyst bulb. The wide base has incredible sculpting on its face, and this tall vase is one of the finest examples of turn of the century hand blown Bohemian glass. Research consulted: : Loetz Bohemian Glass 1880 to1940 (Neue Galerie N.Y.) / by Jan Mergl, Ernst Ploil, and Helmut Ricke; Glass Museum Passau, European Glassware 1650 to 1950, Guide to the Museum / by Georg Holtl; Collectible Bohemian Glass 1880 to 1940 / by Robert & Deborah Truitt; Bohemian Glass 1400 to 1989 / by Sylva Petrova and Jean Luc Olivie ( photos by Gabriel Urbanek); Moser Artistic Glass (Ed 2) / by Gary D.
